TwitchCon Releases Full List of 2018 Exhibitors and Esports Events
The annual convention of the biggest video game streaming platform is just a few short weeks away. TwitchCon released its full list of exhibitors and esports events for the 2018 event. The list includes over 140 exhibitors and the details of four major tournaments.
Alienware, Bethesda, Nerf, Sega, World of Tanks, and Magic the Gathering Arena will be among the many exhibits lining the walkways of TwitchCon. The event takes place October 26-28 in San Jose, California and tickets are on sale now.
Each day of the convention brings different events. The first major tournament will be the Broadcaster Royale: Omen Challenge – a PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds tournament that pits leading game streamers against one another. Each will play on an Omen desktop and display by HP. The tournament has a $300,000 prize pool.
On October 27, the Doritos Bowl takes the stage with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's new battle royale mode, Blackout. Famous streamers Ninja, Shroud, and DrLump will be the team captains for the event.
Two competitive events will span the three days of the convention: Games Done Quick (GDQ) and the Fortnite Fall Skirmish Grand Final. GDQ is a 50+ hour speedrunning marathon for charity that will be held in the TwitchCon Charity Plaza.
The highly-anticipated Grand Final of the Fortnite Fall Skirmish will run over all three days of the convention starting with an opening invitational. The winners of the invitational will compete in a championship event. Epic has yet to announce the size of the prize pool for the Grand Finals.
