Michigan’s Newest Poker Room Features a Snack Bar
Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan just completed a massive renovation. The casino gained a new poker room, new non-smoking room, and upgraded its entertainment hall. The newest poker room in the state features a snack bar and modern poker tables.
The poker room’s self-serve snack bar offers a variety of small snacks like nuts and chips along with some baked goods. The room also offers a complimentary drink bar. It features 10 comfortably spaced, large poker tables with up to 11 seats each.
Soaring Eagle’s new non-smoking room is stocked with several slot machine favorites and table games. It is enclosed behind glass doors to prevent the passage of cigarette smoke from Soaring Eagle’s larger main gaming floor.
The full renovation project cost $26.5 million and included a high-limit gaming area and a VIP lounge for “diamond” players. The first phase, a new nightclub called Ascend, opened in September.
A remodel of Soaring Eagle’s entertainment hall is currently underway. Casino officials say it will be completed in the next week ahead of a busy concert schedule. In December, the casino will feature the band STYX, country music duo Aaron Tippin and Sammy Kershaw, followed by Dan and Shay in the new year.
Next week, Soaring Eagle welcomes job hunters from all over Mid-Michigan to its career fair. The event will be held in the casino resort ballrooms and begins at 1 pm on November 6. Interested job hunters can pre-register for the event at the casino’s official website.
