Miami to Host 2nd Annual Esports BAR September 24
The second annual Esports BAR is scheduled for September 24 in Miami, Florida. The event is expected to include over 300 professionals from all sides of the industry. It is a truly global event, with attendees hailing from at least 40 countries.
Esports BAR is more personal than the average industry conference. It presents an opportunity for business leaders, investors, and organizers to connect in one-on-one meetings.
This year's event will get everyone's conversational juices flowing with a lead-in talk entitled The Forum. The group discussion was added based on feedback from attendees at past Esports BAR events in Cannes and Miami. It is a chance for directed discussion between leading esports brands, media, and esports start-ups.
Stephane Gambetta, director of development for Esports Bar, said The Forum will focus on five specific questions:
1. How can a brand associate with a league or team?
2. How to create quality esports media content?
3. How to reach the esports audience?
4. How to connect with investors?
5. How to branch out into Asia and Latin America:?
The Forum will take a full day of the conference, along with keynote talks from industry influencers. Gambetta says over half of the conference program is designed to connect those who want to learn about the esports business with qualified mentors.
Keynote speakers lined up for the event include Nate Nanzer, commissioner of Overwatch League; Chris Hopper, head of Riot Games' North American esports; Brendan Donohue, director of NBA 2K League, and Brent Koning, commissioner of EA Sports FIFA.
