Card Player Poker Tour Kicks off in Florida on Friday
The Card Player Poker Tour kicks off its next stop in Florida on Friday at Derby Lane in Saint Petersburg. The Series includes 10 events and posts $320,000 in guaranteed prize money. The series runs through October 7.
The CPPT at Derby Lane opens with a mega stack NLHE tournament with a $150 buy-in. The tournament offers four starting flights and boasts a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool. Other tournaments in the series include a $10,000 black chip bounty on October 1 and another monster stack event with a $20,000 guarantee.
On Sunday, series will host a $250 Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) tournament with a $5,000 guarantee. Another $5,000 guaranteed tournament is scheduled for October 2 and is just for seniors.
The Main Event of the series has a $1,000 buy-in and a $200,000 guarantee. It offers four starting flights, across Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The base buy-in provides players with 30,000 starting chips, but for the add-on fee of $30 they can pick up an extra 20,000 chips.
Derby Lane is hosting two satellite events offering seats in the Main Event. The satellites each have a buy-in of $125 and will be held October 3 and 4. The casino is also offering a unique satellite called a “package qualifier” that allows players to win entry into three separate tournaments.
The $175 bundle deal offers winners entry into the Main Event, the $350 Monster Stack, and the Last Chance Monster Stack. Package qualifiers will be held on September 30 and October 1.
