Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open 'Big Four' Kick Off This Weekend
The Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open began August 2 with the first of 69 scheduled poker events. This weekend, the series moves into the tournaments with the highest guaranteed prize pools, known at the casino as the Big Four, the first of which kicks off today and boasts a $3 Million Guarantee.
The SHRPO Championship runs August 10-14. The first of two flights begins today at noon. The tournament offers a single re-entry option that players can utilize to buy back into the same starting flight after they bust out. Players can also enter once in both starting flights, but they cannot enter both starting flights and take their largest stack on to Day 2.
The final tables of all Big Four events, including the SHRPO Championship will be televised and live streamed. The next up is a $1 million guaranteed NLH with single re-entry that starts on August 12, followed by a $500,000 guaranteed re-entry NLH event on August 13.
The final Big Four event is the $2 million guaranteed High Roller, which requires a $25,000 buy-in and also begins on August 13. Even after the Big Four have concluded several big events remain in the SHRPO schedule, including a $10,000 buy-in NLH re-entry event on August 14 and a $2,650 buy-in pot-limit Omaha event on August 13.
The 2018 SHRPO series closes with a second Deep Stack event, the $25 guaranteed Deep Stack Turbo with a $300 buy-in. Even before the Big Four, the series made headlines. Mark Dube made back-to-back first-place finishes, winning Event #11 on Tuesday followed by Event #16 on Wednesday.
