John Cynn closes out 'Rise and Grind' Poker After Dark week
After taking a substantial hit at the Poker After Dark table Wednesday night, 2018 WSOP Main Event champion John Cynn bounced back last night. His performance was of "epic proportions" and saw the high-stakes pro pick up several $100,000 pots. With his performance, he wrapped up the "Rise and Grind" week of the popular Poker After Dark series.
Cynn scored a huge victory that almost wasn't last night against three-time Poker Players Champion, Michael Mizrachi. He missed on both the flop and the turn before bluffing out a win on the river. That set the mood for the WSOP champ for the rest of the night.
Cynn also got it in against Alan Richardson a few times this week. Last night wasn't any different, as the two stared down a pot that rose to more than $100,000. Lady Luck was sitting with him once again, as he was able to take the hand and pick up the night's largest pot.
He still wasn't done, though. Cynn continued to outperform his previous performances and ultimately finished the night with almost $100,000 in profit.
Also making an appearance this week were Maria Ho and Farah Galfond. Ho managed to keep herself alive, despite mixing it up with Cynn a few times, but Galfond arrived at the tables with both guns blazing. She would end up the big winner between Wednesday's and Thursday's episodes, taking in more than $100,000.
