Hellmuth schmoozes with the Kardashians at fundraiser
A charity event organized, in part, by the Kardashians saw Phil Hellmuth getting up close with a few of the reality TV stars. The event was held on July 29 and featured a poker tournament to raise money for the non-profit cancer center City of Hope.
Hellmuth, who had been tapped to emcee the tournament, was seen milling around, rubbing elbows with several of the Kardashians. He also managed to snap a few pictures, and a video popped up on Twitter of him talking to Khloe Kardashian. The short recording carried the caption, "One of the worlds [sic] biggest divas...and Khloe Kardashian."
The poker tournament didn't offer a traditional prize pool, but did have some other pretty cool prizes up for grabs, including VIP access to concerts by The Eagles and Fleetwood Mac, as well as a $17,000 diamond bracelet.
Other well-known celebrities found at the event included Kevin Pollack, Cameron Crowe, Chris Harrison, David Arquette, Brando Cantu and Meghan Trainor. The inaugural "If Only" event was a huge success, raising tens of thousands of dollars for the cancer research and treatment center. It was hosted by Madison Square Garden, City of Hope and Shelli and Irving Azoff, with the latter being the head of Full Stop Management, which represents The Eagles, Journey, Van Halen, Gwen Stefani, Jimmy Buffett, Fleetwood Mac and others.
