Edward Snowden takes down biggest BOSS tourney of the night

OK, not that Edward Snowden. But the victory was still impressive nonetheless, along with the other major BOSS wins on Tuesday.

The trend of BOSS tourneys eclipsing their guarantees continued last night as three more Bigger Online Super Series lived up to their name with bigger-than-expected prize pools.

Here’s a look at what happened on Tuesday, July 10th.

• BOSS Event #7, a $100,000 GTD 8-Max tourney, featured 135 entries competing for a final prize pool of $135,000. EdwardSnowden whistle-blew his way to the top to take home $33,750 in cash. Right behind him were jh14970 ($22,950) in 2nd and MinCashSpecialist ($17,550) in 3rd.

• There were 197 entries in BOSS Event #8, pumping up the prize pool of the PLO 6-Max tourney to $39,400 (it guaranteed $30,000). Congrats to CreateMyOwnEnergy on dominating the event for $8,471. Kudos also go out to overstanding ($6,107) in 2nd and Justicepeanut ($4,629) in 3rd.

• We saw 204 entries in BOSS #9, a $40,000 GTD Super KO tourney. That’s two extra players on top of what was needed to make the guarantee, boosting the prize pool of the $400+25 tourney to $40,800. Online poker player roost took it down to claim $8,772, with puicachamp ($6,324) taking 2nd and LFGOverTheTop ($4,794) claiming 3rd.

There’s more BOSS on tap today. Check out the full schedule on the Bigger Online Super Series page for all the info.
