Daniel Negreanu Brings Poker to Mainstream Site MasterClass

MasterClass found a teacher for their poker course, and he happens to be the winningest poker player of all time. Daniel Negreanu signed on to teach for the mainstream site and will be offering up his knowledge exclusively through the MasterClass platform.

Pre-enrollment in Negreanu's MasterClass began this week. For the onetime price of $90, aspiring poker players get lifetime access to this class only. However, MasterClass offers an all-access subscription option that gives online course participants access to all new and existing courses for $180 annually.

Negreanu can easily claim the title of master poker player. With nearly $40 million in prize money over his 20-year career, Negreanu is the highest-earning tournament poker player of all time. He had enviable records in all the major North American poker tours and was named Player of the Decade by the Global Poker Index.

Based on the press release announcing the class, it is not for beginners. Negreanu is targeting “intermediate and advanced” players who already understand the game but want to go deeper in areas like poker theory and human behavior.

A few of the things the course promises to deliver are advanced betting tactics, secrets for reading the table, and how to spot tells. The course also claims Negreanu can teach students how to handle their emotions and use tilt to their advantage.

MasterClass bills their courses as a way the fast track to mastering a skill. Since there are already so many online poker courses available it will be interesting to see community reviews comparing how Negreanu's course compares and if it delivers.
