Floyd Mayweather wins $100,000 playing video poker

Floyd Mayweather seems to have the golden touch.  The 50-0 boxer has made a killing in and outside of the ring, and has now scored another impressive win.  This past Sunday, he took a little time to play video poker at a casino in Vegas, landing a knock out that saw him pick up a $101,000 prize.

Mayweather bragged about the action on his Instagram account, saying he scored a royal flush while playing $25 hands.  He reportedly started the gambling session at the unidentified casino with $20,000, resulting in a 500% return – not too bad for a couple hours’ work.  The win came while playing at a "Ten Play Draw Poker" machine.

The boxing legend hasn’t fought since last August.  There has been talk the past couple of months that he could be getting ready to launch into the MMA, and it has been rumored that he’s been training with several MMA coaches.  Las Vegas sportsbooks believe his entrance is imminent and have already begun accepting bets on his MMA action.

Mayweather reported earlier this month that the MMA talk is unfounded.  He told the MMA Junkie, “I’m not thinking about fighting right now."  If he doesn’t decide to get into the ring, perhaps he can try his luck some more at poker.
