Kid Poker publishes summer schedule
It takes money to make money. Daniel Negreanu, known to most as Kid Poker, looks to throw down $2 million on various tournaments this summer – a small price to pay for a chance to win 20 times that much. And, for someone who has racked up more than $36 million in live action, Negreanu is only putting up a tiny portion of his bank.
All told, Kid Poker looks to participate in over 39 events from June 1 through July 15 in the WSOP alone. He has also entered other tournaments that are set to kick off next month. The poker pro is feeling a little pre-tournament stress, and took to Twitter to vent. He tweeted, "Just going over my proposed poker schedule for May and beyond and yikes are there ever a boatload of high buy in [sic] tournaments. Pre-Exhaustion before the WSOP even starts. Also FYI $25k WSOP Fantasy draft date likely May 30th. May have a guarantee on it too!"
Negreanu is putting in his money, but isn’t taking all the risks. He is also selling $500,000 of the action to those looking for possibly significant returns. The Canadian pro hasn’t had the greatest of luck in tournaments lately, and has been working on his game to improve his odds. His hectic schedule will undoubtedly give him a headache, but it will make for great poker for his fans.
