Dan Bilzerian Hypes Up Launch of Marijuana Brand Green Axis
Instagram influencer and self-proclaimed poker millionaire Dan Bilzerian is building up hype for the launch of his marijuana brand. Bilzerian first announced his intention to invest a few of his millions in the legal marijuana industry last fall. Now he says the Green Axis IPO is on the way.
If his Instagram is to be believed, Bilzerian lives a billionaire lifestyle of car collections, boating, and beautiful women. If his own words are to be believed, he funds that lifestyle through private, high-stakes poker games. According to Bilzerian, it's been a grind, but now its time to put his hard earned cash to work in a new industry: cannabis.
Bilzerian bills Green Axis as the Coca-Cola of the marijuana industry. He has been posting about the company for months, careful not to reveal any solid plans. Most recently, Bilzerian tweeted a picture of himself with his business partner surrounded by massive bags of marijuana, with the caption “back to work.”
He still has a long way to go if he wants to build the “first global cannabis brand,” like he tweeted he would back in January. Bilzerian started the year with big plans for the business, including the Green Axis launch party on January 12 in Vancouver. Three days later he tweeted that he would be taking the business public in February.
Then Bilzerian went quiet on Green Axis for a couple of months. He had time to make plenty of posts about other things but didn't get back around to his new business until March 26, when he apologized to his fans for the delay.
