CPPT coming to the Venetian this summer
The DeepStack series of poker tournaments has become one of the most popular series of events in the game. This summer, the Venetian brings it back, offering 150 events with over $31 million up for grabs in guaranteed prize pools.
The series will run from May 14 to July 29, with the majority of the events offered in The Venetian Poker Room. However, several tournaments will be held in the Sands Hall G Convention Center from May 26 to July 6. The center offers a players lounge with projection screens, 103 tournament tables and a designated final table area.
The action kicks off with a guaranteed $500,000 in the $1,100 NLHE Summer Kick Off tournament. After that, a variety of events will be held, including Pot-Limit Omaha, a seniors event, NLHE Bounty and more. The series closes with the $400 NLHE Closer from July 24-29, offering a $400,000 guarantee.
Tournament buy-ins start at $200 and go to $5,000. The CPPT will run from July 14 to 19 and offers a $2-million guarantee with a $5,000 buy-in.
There will also be two other national poker tournaments taking place in the Venetian at the same time. From June 3-8, the Mid-States Poker Tour with a 3.5-million guarantee is on the books. This is followed by a second MSPT with a $3.5-milllion guarantee on June 18-22.
