CPPT Choctaw now running in Oklahoma
The Card Player Poker Tour (CPPT) Choctaw series is now in full swing. The events are being held at the Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, OK, with a total of 62 different tournaments on the schedule. The biggest attraction will be the main event, offering a $1 million guarantee.
The CPPT has now been to the Choctaw five times, and it continues to be a favorite with players. The usual tournaments, like NLHE and Pot-Limit Omaha, are available, as are 2-7 Triple Draw, Badugi and "Win the Pot/Win the Button" tournaments. Additionally, there are several NLHE seniors, ladies, six-max and congress tournaments throughout the series. Already, more than $400,000 in prize money has been awarded.
The main event, with a buy-in of $1,100, officially gets underway on April 20. There are several satellite tournaments available for the chance to win a seat, and these offer buy-ins for as little as $50. The main event final table, scheduled for April 22, will be live-streamed.
Four events are scheduled for today. A $350 NLHE Triple Stack tournament, which will award Player of the Year points as well as prize money will be accompanied by a $240 Badugi tournament, a $125 NLHE Teams tournament and a $65 satellite toward the main event.
