Joe Mantegna and Lou Diamond Phillips to highlight poker invitational

In just six days, the annual Hollywood Cares poker invitational tournament will take place at the Avalon in Hollywood, California.  It's the fourth installment of the event, and this year's festivities will be hosted by Lou Diamond Phillips and Joe Mantegna.

The fundraiser benefits Circle of Friends and the ACLU of Southern California.  It will run from 4 PM to 11:30 PM PDT, and offers an open bar, silent auction and Hors d’oervres.  Buy-ins are available for $1,000 for 12,000 chips, $500 for 6,000 chips and $250 for 2,500 chips.  Rebuys and add-ons will be available.  The winner of the tournament will earn a seat at the 2018 WSOP Main Event.  The dress code is “Los Angeles Casual,” with no ties allowed.

Phillips has appeared in many films including La Bamba, Young Guns and Netflix's The Ranch.  Apart from his big screen appearances, he has also appeared on stage in Rodgers and Hammerstein's The King and I and had a brief singing career in the 90s.  Mantegna is probably best known for portraying FBI Special Agent David Rossi on the TV series Criminal Minds; however, he also has a long film career dating back to 1976.
