Unikrn’s Patent Pending Crypto Betting Platform is Now Defensible
Unikrn’s plan for total esports betting domination might just pan out. The company has applied for patents for crypto betting on esports, and while those patents are still pending, some are now “defensible,” meaning they will hold up if another company tries to use what Unikrn has already filed.
Unikrn was founded in 2014, but it was just last year that it was recognized for its foresight in the industry. The launch of UnikoinGold cryptocurrency in October rocketed the company to new heights and set a new industry standard for coin sales.
Unikrn is licensed for real money esports betting in the United Kingdom and Australia, but that is just the start. With help from a long list of high profile investors including Mark Cuban and Ashton Kutcher, Unikrn plans to become the first platform with legal cryptocurrency betting.
Their plan is inching closer to reality. Along with the defensibility of their patents, rumor has it Unikorn is close to obtaining a license for its platform in Malta. Evidence that seems to support the rumor is Unikrn’s recent announcement that they are officially open to partnerships.
The company put the word out that they want help pushing crypto betting from other businesses in the industry. In February, Unikrn submitted filings that would protect the decentralization of its token and extend its IP Protection to any of its potential partners. Unikrn currently offers betting on League of Legends, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Overwatch, Rocket League, Starcraft 2, Heroes of the Storm, Call of Duty, Hearthstone, World of Tanks, and FIFA 18.
