The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida will host the World Series of Poker Circuit September 21 through October 2. It marks the first time the property played host to a WSOP Circuit event.
The stop will include 14 official WSOP Circuit ring tournaments. The headliner is a $1 million guaranteed Main Event. Several “signature” WSOP events are also included in the lineup such as the $500,000 guaranteed opener with a $580 buy-in and a $3,250 high roller event with a $250,000 guarantee.
Regulars at the Seminole Hard Rock poker tables will be happy to know they can earn SHRP Player of the Year points during the Main Event of the series. The SHRP POY points are awarded in all championship events at Seminole properties. At the end of the year, the winner will receive a prize package including future tournament buy-ins for the following year.
Hollywood is one of two stops the WSOP Circuit has planned for Florida during the 2017-18 season. A second stop will come to the Seminole casino property in Coconut Creek February 8 through 19, 2018.
This year the WSOP has added a new reward for WSOP Circuit winners. At each stop, two players will receive free entry into the $10,000 buy-in season-ending Global Casino Championship. The prize pool for that event has a $1 million guarantee. The winner of the event will not get a WSOP gold ring, but a coveted gold bracelet.
The free entries will be awarded to the winner of the Main Event at each stop, as well as the player who earns the most WSOP points in various events at a single stop.
