Day 3 Of The Aria Super High Roller Bowl
Day 3 of the Aria Super High Roller Bowl is the books and it’s Jake Schindler who will enter the final table as chip leader.
Several big names got sent home as they tried to navigate their way from the 19 remaining players to the final table. This was the case of former 2015 champion Brian Rast and 2016 champion Rainer Kempe, who both got eliminated during Day 3 action.
Rast was the first of the two to go as he lost a flop against Schindler. Then it was Kempe who saw his pocket nines fall short against pocket tens held by Stefan Schillhabel. Poker legend and one of the tournament favorites, Daniel Negreanu, also found an early exit as he fell to Schindler in the fast pace game.
Even World Series of Poker Player of the Year, Jason Mercier, me his match as Justin Bonomo was able to knock him out with a pair of kings. The field wound down to create the final eight that would take their place at the final table and Schindler’s elimination of Dan Shak was enough to secure the lead.
Schindler is no stranger to the final table at the Aria and has cashed 19 times in High Roller events there. He has had a total of over $4m playing there and enters the final day with a chance to become the second most successful player at the Aria after Brian Rast.
