2017 World Series Of Poker Kicks Off
Poker’s most prestigious event series has begun and players from all over the world are heading to Las Vegas to participate. The 2017 World Series of Poker is underway, which means almost two months of poker action for fans and pros alike.
The festival will be hosted by the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino and features 74 gold bracelet events as well as cash games almost every day.
The first day of play, however, doesn’t include a gold bracelet event and is actually a DeepStack with a $235 buy-in No-Limit Hold’em.
However, Wednesday will see the first gold bracelet event of the 2017 WSOP and as is tradition it will be the $565 Casino Employees No-Limit Hold’em Event. An event restricted to casino employees only, but open to all casinos.
Week 1 is dominated by the third ever $565 The Colossus tournament. The event has six total starting flights and participants can re-enter once per flight. This unique tournament structure allows for players to cash once the pass on to Day 2 and cash more than once.
But, despite the many options for players to participate, everyone has their attention set on the WSOP Main Event set to begin Saturday July 8th.
