Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas Launches Gambit Poker Video Game Tables
By Bob Garcia
Caesars Entertainment has partnered with Gamblit Gaming to launch a new skill-based interactive video gaming table. Gambit Poker tables combine aspects of competitive video games with casino table games. Caesars will launch the first tables at Planet Hollywood Casino in Las Vegas.
Gamblit calls their new ModelG table a “social and interactive game table.” It offers a multiplayer experience for two-to-four players. The game consists of a virtual card grab to build the best possible poker hand.
Each player starts with two cards. A 42-inch touch screen then displays a single deck of cards in rapid succession for all players to see. Players must grab the cards they need to make a winning hand before they flash past.
Each table is equipped for comfort with USB charging ports, purse hooks, and cup holders for each player. The ModelG also offers a blackjack-like virtual game called Cannonbeard’s Treasure. Additional Gamblit games will be installed in the tables pending regulatory approval.
According to the press release, Caesars will do a trial launch of the ModelG tables at Planet Hollywood Casino, Caesars Palace, and other Nevada properties. After the trial is complete they plan to add an additional 200 terminals at Caesars properties throughout the United States.
Under the Nevada’s tech-friendly “New Innovation Beta” program, any new game field trial must enter the market for a minimum of 30-days before receiving final approval. During this trial period the ModelG will be available and fully operational on casino gaming floors just like any other game.
