Daniel Negreanu Has Fun On Fox Sports

Poker star Daniel Negreanu has been back on Twitter – the guy is never off Twitter, thankfully – to post his exploits this week on Fox Sports where he joined Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole on the Fox Sports Live show. For those that missed the show itself, it’s possible to go to Negreanu’s Twitter page, @RealKidPoker, to check it out. It’s worth doing to see a fun interview.

Among other things, Negreanu spoke about his life in Las Vegas and also about the new NHL hockey franchise coming to town. He told Jay and Dan that despite the "Knight" moniker floating around the team’s name, he personally would like to see it called the Rat Pack in honor of Las Vegas’ glory days.

He also spoke about Jason Mercier’s bet with Vanessa Selbst at the WSOP over whether Mercier would win three gold bracelets or not. Selbst was drunk when she made that bet and almost lost millions on it. That prompted the guys to ask Negreanu if he had ever made stupid drunken bets, and he replied that he had, without giving details other than that it involved gold and half a million dollars. After all, he’s a gambler and that’s what gamblers do on occasion, right?

Overall it was a very entertaining interview, typical of Negreanu when he’s on form.
