Blizzard Announces D.Va Announcer Starter Pack For StarCraft
The latest announcement for StarCraft involves an Overwatch crossover. The two Blizzard games have related backstories, which means fans of both games can enjoy the upcoming Announcer Starter Pack featuring Overwatch character D.Va.
In her Overwatch backstory, D.Va was once the world's top StarCraft player. Now that the hero has risen to fame for her role in Overwatch's fight she is returning to her roots. Various voice samples of D.Va's expert announcing in StarCraft are available on the game website.
The full version, which includes announcer D.Va along with a slew of other star announcers such as Abathur, Raynor, Artanis, Kerrigan, Swann, and Alarak, will be available in the 3.7 update in early November.
However, fans who attend BlizzCon or purchase a Virtual Ticket to the event can score some extra D.Va content. A portrait of the hero will be included as a BlizzCon exclusive. Other convention extras reportedly include a beer stein, a World of Warcraft companion, a pet from Diablo III, a Welcome Inn Card Back for Hearthstone, and a special Overwatch skin featuring Bastion.
All of this and more will be handed out to physical attendees of the event. Those attending virtually will still receive the digital version of several exclusives. Virtual Tickets are available for $40.
Even those who not planning to attend BlizzCon can look forward to more D.Va. She will also be featured in new skins and other StarCraft extras planned in November's update. The patch includes new rewards and new ways to use decals and portraits.
