Fall Deep Stack Series At Seminole Hard Rock Kicks Off Oct. 20
A big flock of poker players are expected to fly south before winter for the 2016 Deep Stack Series and the Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open in Florida. The Deep Stack Series kicks off at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Tampa, Florida this week. The tournament will run from October 20 -30 and includes two six-figure guaranteed prize pools.
Kicking off the competitions on Thursday is the $150,000 guaranteed No-Limit Hold'em with a $350 buy-in. The main event, which will begin on October 27, promises a $200,000 prize pool.
In between the two big events are a slew of $50,000 and $20,000 guaranteed events, as well as a few $75 and $110 buy-in satellite events for entry into the Main Event.
After the Fall Deep Stack Series Florida poker fans have just one month off before the major tournaments pick back up again, this time in Hollywood, Florida. The Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open will run from November 16 – 30 and includes $2 million guaranteed championship event.
Last month the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood was host to the 2016 Everglades Poker Open, which featured a $350 buy-in, $150,000 guaranteed main event. It attracted a field of 485 entries and was won by Ido Ashkenazi, who claimed the $30,949 first prize.
Daniel Mizrachi, younger brother to professional poker players Robert and Michael Mizrachi, took a break from his work as a magician to win $2,025 in an Omaha 8 or Better event at the Everglades Poker Open.
